Stretch EM Cable mooring system
The Stretch EM Cable is a compliant mooring, which is always under tension. It limits the operating circle of a surface buoy. Stretch EM Cable also provides a direct electrical connection from the surface to the seabed. This allows deployment of seabed sensors (ADCP, CTD, etc) for extended periods without the need to recover and change batteries or use complex multi leg moorings. The Stretch EM Cable can carry power from the surface to the seabed and high bandwidth data from the seabed to the surface. Different lengths and conductor arrangements are available, including twisted pairs for Ethernet. When required, the Stretch EM Cable can allow water from the surface to pass through its hollow center to sampling instruments that are located in the mooring (see our Environmental Sample Processing Mooring). The Stretch EM Cable is patented technology and is the result of decades of research and development at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. NO-Stretch EM Cable

NO-Stretch EM Cable
EOM Offshore’s NO-Stretch EM Cable visually resembles EOM Offshore's Stretch EM cable, and both deliver continuous real-time measurements and power. Unlike the Stretch EM cable, the NO-Stretch EM Cable is non-compliant, so it does not stretch or bend due to the inner chain built inside the marine exhaust hardwall. It will not hockle, and it is quieter than comparable steel link chain alternatives. EOM Offshore's NO-Stretch EM Cable strength derives from the use of marine chain (9/32", 1/2", or 3/4") encapsulated in an exclusive urethane blend, surrounded by coil wire itself protected by urethane and a tough outer hose. The NO-Stretch EM Cable cable provides bend fatigue resistance while maintaining axial strength in the mooring. They may be used at any position in the mooring requiring data and power transmission, where stretch is not required. The NO-Stretch EM Cable is flexible and can integrate with other mooring equipment and is compatible with all of EOM Offshore’s Products.

LinePak Marine Recovery System – R2K
EOM Offshore’s LinePak-Marine Recovery System (LP-MRS) is a versatile product that can used to recover any asset located on the seafloor. ​ The LP-MRS lets the end-user be compliant with environmental laws, requiring that all mooring elements be recovered, including the anchor. Operational expenditures are reduced since the asset may be recovered and deployed multiples times. The LP-MRS is spirally wrapped with a strong and durable synthetic line, inside which is an integrated acoustic release. The line is wrapped to prevent biofouling, while maintaining a compact package for on-deck handling during deployment operations.

Electromechanical Universal Joint The electromechanical universal joint provides a robust electrical and mechanical connection point for electromechanical riser elements. In return, electrical failure is reduced and the quality of data measurements from subsurface instruments is assured. Mechanical Universal Joint The mechanical universal joint provides a combination of strength and wear resistance for bending under load, and may be used with mooring riser elements such as chain and wire.

The Multifunction Node - Marine Recovery System provides a quiet and stable platform for instrumentation. ​Ideal for any acoustic monitoring. ​ Operational expenditures are reduced since the asset may be recovered and deployed multiples times The Multifunction Node-Marine Recovery System (MFN-MRS) has customizable configurations for multiple seafloor instruments and functions as a power and communications node that can integrate with existing seafloor power grids and communication networks. This configuration ensures the delivery of power and real-time data directly to the shore via a bottom cable or via surface buoy. It is designed to have positive buoyancy and sits on the seafloor using an integrated anchor recovery system, so all of the mooring elements can be retrieved, including the anchor. When coupled with the EOM Offshore Stretch EM Cable, the MFN-MRS provides a quiet and stable platform for instrumentation that is easily recoverable.
