The icListen AF extends the low frequency ultra low noise performance of the respected icListen LF up into the Audio Frequency range 1 Hz - 12 KHz.
The AF comes with all the features of the icListen HF, including spectral processing, event detection, PPS synchronization, and the powerful Web Server available on the Ethernet interface Play deep-ocean sounds from icListen AF through your PC speakers using the Lucy software, in real-time.

The X2 offers all the same features of the standard icListen HF but with its reduced analog input gain, it records peak sound levels greater than 210 dB re.uPa without clipping or saturating.
Use the Event Detection feature to ensure loud events are recorded or send an event message when a preset sound level is exceeded.
Use the icTalk to produce a series of tones, sweeps, pauses, or a combination of all three. Use it stand-alone, as a beacon, or connected via cable to a PC. The icTalk HF ranges from 20 kHz to 200 kHz. Output is flat at 140 dB re μPa at 1m.
Simpler to deploy than a tripod, just insert icListen into the Float Collar & lower it over the side. A small 5kg anchor is enough to hold it in place in the correct orientation. If it’s bumped, it will move away and slowly return to its resting position. It’s also very quiet.

Acoustibuoy, is a Passive Acoustic Monitoring Buoy (PAM) designed to utilise the special features of ic-Listen, Smart Hydrophones to monitor, record and display acoustic data in realtime. This is a bespoke designed seabed mount for the icListen range of hydrophones. Designed to minimise the effects of current induced acoustic noise, the frame is manufactured from plastics to reduce corrosion effects. The frame holds the hydrophone and an alkaline battery pack.
Ocean Sonics offers a Sync GPS Master which allows the icListen to be synchronize by receiving a GPS pulse per second (PPS). The system is very low power, small and can be mounted on a mast above water or on shore. Typical PPS can synchronize the seconds to a resolution of nanoseconds. However, the Sync GPS modulates the trailing edge of the PPS signal to encode the date & time as well. This guarantees that all instruments are fully synchronized to GPS time after two minute
The updated extender is much reduced in form factor, being nearly the same size as an icListen can with
connectors on both ends. The Kit consists of two modules, the head-end module that connects to the PC on
shore, and the remote module that connects to the hydrophone. A relaxed requirement for the interconnect
cable means that lower cost cables may be used to connect the two modules together.
Maximum extension length is 1500m. Technology used is XDSL. We are licensing the technology from a
